Besides being the chief mistress of Louis XV, Mdm De Pompadour played a major role in making Paris the perceived capital of taste and culture in Europe. She greatly influenced and brought innovation into the “Rococo” style. Through her position at the court she effectively played the role of prime minister. Her position and many talents also earned her countless enemies and made her a fascinating mythical figure.
